Travel statistics are most useful when you know what they measure. A quick stop and a month in one city are different experiences, even when both add one place to a map. Donde brings destination counts, nights and travel patterns together so your recap can show more than a list.
Countries and cities
Destination totals describe distinct places in your selected completed trips. Revisiting a city can add more time there without adding another distinct city. Review the chosen destination when importing: cities with similar names may be in different countries, and a mismatched destination can change the map and rankings.
Nights away
Nights are based on arrival and departure dates. Arriving on June 1 and departing on June 4 gives three nights. Dates that span a year boundary are clipped to the selected years. Selecting multiple years counts a spanning trip once. Overlapping and incomplete entries need review before they can produce a reliable recap.
Revisits and stay rhythm
Revisits show places you returned to, while stay rhythm helps distinguish a year of short stops from longer periods in fewer cities. Use these together: a lower country count can still represent a rich year of travel. Your recap is a record of your own experience, with no public leaderboard or social ranking.
Maps and route distances
Maps and route statistics are calculated from the destinations in your completed trip history. Treat route distances as estimates between destinations, not a GPS log, exact flight path or mileage claim. Donde does not track your live location. Weather and climate chapters provide context, not a verified diary of the conditions on each day of your stay.
Start with a clean travel history
Use manual entry, CSV or a selected Google Sheet. Review destination matches, dates, duplicates and overlaps. Include only completed past trips. Your statistics are yours to share
Saving does not publish your data. A shared recap is an unlisted snapshot excluded from search engines, while raw trip rows and exact itinerary dates remain out of the visitor version. Anyone with the link can access the snapshot, so review it before sharing.
